Perfume-Uses=> Phenyl Acetaldehyde is useful to help capture the calyx and leafy notes in all floral types especially Hyacinth, Syringa, Lilac, Carnation (in traces) and Rose
Tips=> Phenyl Acetaldehyde is a very powerful and can be quite irritant, so it should be used sparingly in perfumes to avoid overpowering the other ingredients and not becoming irritating. IFRA used to require it to be mixed 50% with PEA (Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol) to quench its irritantcy (this technique is no longer IFRA accepted despite it working). This 10% dilution in PEA is a good place to start with this material if you are not familiar with it
Just-try-it=> If you're looking for a green flowershop fragrance, heavy, humid, intense effect.
