The odour and uses of Hydratropic Aldehyde 10% in TEC:
"Odour=> Very powerful and penetrating, green-earthy, foliage-like odor in extreme dilution becoming quite floral, Lilac-Hyacinth-like, and slightly fruity. Pleasantly free from the stinging pungency of Phenylacetaldehyde. At dilutions below 1 ppm, the taste is rather sweet-earthy-green and somewhat fruity, depending on accompanying acidity.
Synaesthesia=>
Color: Deep green with hints of lilac
Sound: Rustling of leaves in a garden
Texture: Smooth and velvety like a flower petal
Taste: Sweet and slightly tangy like a ripe fruit
Feeling: Fresh and invigorating green
Image: A vibrant garden filled with blooming flowers
Perfume-Uses=>
Hydratropic Aldehyde is frequently used in floral perfumes, especially in Hyacinth and Lilac where it may outperform Phenylacetaldehyde. It is also used in Rose, Narcissus, Tulip, and many exotic and tropical floral types, as well as certain non-floral fragrances such as transparent linear fragrances.
Therapeutic Uses=>
This material is not commonly used in aromatherapy or aromachology.
Tips=>
Hydratropic Aldehyde is a very powerful aroma chemical, so use it sparingly to avoid overpowering the perfume composition. It works well in floral and fruity fragrances and can add a unique green and earthy aspect to the blend.
Just-try-it=>
Imaginative use for Hydratropic Aldehyde: Create a refreshing spring-inspired perfume by combining this material with green leafy notes, lilac, and a touch of fruity accord. Experiment with different concentrations to find the right balance between green-earthy and floral-fruity elements.
