The odour of trans-2-hexenal is very powerful fresh, green, and crushed apple seed like. It has a strong, distinctive aroma that is often described as being similar to freshly cut grass, green leaves, and herbs. It can be used to add a fresh, green, and herbaceous note. Best used as a 1% or 10% dilution.
