Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) is a virtually odourless aromatic solvent, plasticizer. Whilst being a very efficient solvent it is also quite toxic. It is NOT prohibited by IFRA or the EU but many Global toiletry companies choose to prohibit its use in their products. It is prohibited in Japan. If used, best use for non-skin contact products. It tends to irritate the skin and depress perfume notes. We supply this for training and experimental purposes only. We do not use in our compounds or supply in bulk. Consider replacing with Triethyl Citrate (TEC) or other lower toxicity solvents like DPG,IPM,BB,BA.
