Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant

SKU: 0ZP03359

Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) is probably the most efficient anti-oxidant used in perfumery. It is almost odourless in use but as a pure white to off-white crystalline powder has a very faint musty cresylic phenolic odour. Used from 0.1% in citrus oils, aliphatic aldehydes, fixed oils and many other oxygen sensitive materials, compounds and finished products it can greatly extend their shelf and odour life and also slow down, but not completely stop, colour changes.
