Perfumers need to be free to create, this is their focus, their passion, their dream. Very few perfumers then want to have to worry about the endless small details of financing, sourcing, production, safety assessment, that can turn the reality of their dream into a nightmare of forms and red tape. That's why perfumers usually settle for working in a perfumery house where they create for their employers and customers but not for themselves. They become artists bound as technicians by perfume briefs and financial constraints. If only they could break free and create what they wanted, follow their heart, but then who would take care of all that other stuff? If only there was an angel and partner that would hold their hand and take care of all those details for them.

Now there is, they're called The Fragrance Engineers and they will handle all those small details for perfumers, so the perfumers can create unbound, wherever their passion takes them and The Fragrance Engineers take care of the rest. This means once the perfumer has created his perfume it can be safety assessed, put into production and on the market in just in a few short weeks.

The Fragrance Engineers is a new concept that allows niche perfumers to get their creations on the market in under 3 months and at very little cost to them. The perfumer's job is just to create and sell while The Fragrance Engineers makes it happen.

The Fragrance Engineers is open to all perfumers both fresh or seasoned. The perfumer is the source of the perfume creation process so their name or 'avatar' will be on each bottle in their own collection and can be viewed online at The Fragrance Engineers website.

Sales made from The Fragrance Engineers website are shared with the perfumer and the perfumer can also promote them on his own website, social media and sales platforms like Amazon. Perfumes can be pre-purchased and distributed by the perfumer or drop-shipped to the customer from The Fragrance Engineers on-demand.

The process starts with submitting a sample of the perfumer's creation to The Fragrance Engineers. Once it appears from the initial due diligence checks that the perfume is viable and safe for production, conforms to IFRA and EU guidelines we will ask the perfumer to make an affordable one-time setup payment, typically about US$1,000 ALL-IN. This covers in addition to the lab and admin work, sample checking, printing labels, website copy and preparing the first few bottles ready for shipment.

No further payments are required from the perfumer unless they require some special customisation. If the perfumer needs their own unique packaging or bottle then this requires a minimum commitment of 1,000 units. As the cost of this can be a lot higher The Fragrance Engineers recommend starting with the standard high quality format and consider additional customization later.

Once sales are achieved The Fragrance Engineers share the sale proceeds with the perfumer and these are distributed monthly. Perfumers just need to create, advertise on social media or and wait for their monthly cheque.
